He is a Medical Doctor, holding Masters of Medicine in Pediatrics (MD) and completed Vocational Training at Greys Hospital in KZN and Electives at UniMelb Royal Melbourne Hospital.

From Mevana, Howick KZN, Brett started from humble beginnings and is now the World Economic Forum Global Shaper and was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Beijing’s OTEC Conference. His Team were the finalists in the United Nations 75th Anniversary University Startup World Cup. He is now a PYP Ambassador for Brand South Africa, The Nation’s Official Marketing Agency.

Brett volunteered during COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020, joining the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University (WMU) special anti-pandemic task force team, in Zhejiang province. He is a Representative of MedTech in FOCAC High Level Meeting on China Africa Health Cooperation.

Fluent In Chinese Language, Brett helps improve Foreign Direct Investment into South Africa by Closely working with the Beijing, Shanghai Missions of South Africa and Brand South Africa by Promoting South African Excellence, Culture, Tourism, Industrial and Academic Partnership. He is a KOL and Panelist of “Informal Talks”. He is a speaker at TEDx Circles, Google Startup Grind and Global Leadership Summit organized events. This Influence helped his Foundation initiate multiple donation initiatives, with over 43K PPE’s and this year 100K Rapid Tests, going to SA’s most affected areas.

Within the technology innovation space, he manages a China Africa Technology incubator in Beijing partnered with HICOOL, DongSheng Science Park and The Innovation Hub Management Company. He has successfully mentored South African Startups to Compete against the World’s best, find better Policy and Capital through Close work with Accelerators, VC’s, Funds, and Landing.

Alpha & Omega Nutrition, a product of their iLifeAfrica Healthcare Platform is the world’s first China-Africa specialized healthcare R&D initiative combating Sub-Saharan African Pediatric Malnutrition. His Team of African Researchers work Closely with SAMRC and has published as a first author and co-author in scientific publication and review articles.

He sits on a number of committees including the World Young Scientist Summit Health Forum, Global Young Leaders Dialogue, China Africa Bridge, China Africa Economic and Trade Institute, China Africa Innovation Base, WMU African Alumni Association, Goodwill Ambassador Wenzhou.
