Mylab Discovery Solutions CoviSwiftTM COVID 19 FAST PCR Kit offers qualitative detection of SARS-CoV 2 in respiratory specimens. The kit provides all the components for a sample to result. The lysis buffer used in the test is an in-house preparation and performs rapid lysis of the cells and delivers nucleic acids ready for RT-PCR reaction in a very short time. This lysate can be directly used as a template for real-time PCR reactions. The SARS-CoV-2 primer and probe sets are designed for specific detection of SARS-CoV-2 using E gene for screening and ORF1 (RdRP) and N gene for confirmation in a single test. The enzymes used in the test are fast and tolerant to various PCR inhibitors. The total test requires less than one hour to complete, starting from the extraction of nucleic acids to real-time PCR report.The kit contains quality controls including internal control and positive/no template control to identify possible PCR inhibition, and to confirm the integrity of the reagents of the kit. The complete assay can be run on all open RT-PCR machines such as Mylab Compact Q Fluorescence Quantitative Real-Time PCR Detection System, Roche LightCycler 480 II Analyzer, Applied Biosystems 7500 Fast (AB7500 Fast) Analyzer, BioRad CFX96 Touch Real-Time PCR Detection System, Thermofisher QuantStudio™ 5 Real-Time PCR System, etc.
