Background: The Africa Medical Supplies Platform (AMSP) unlocks immediate access to an African & global base of vetted manufacturers and procurement strategic partners and enables African Union Member States to purchase certified medical equipment such as diagnostic kits, PPE and clinical management devices with increased cost effectiveness & transparency. The platform serves as a unique interface enabling volume aggregation, quota management, payment facilitation as well as logistics & transportation to ensure equitable & efficient access to critical supplies for African governments.
The online platform was developed under the leadership of African Union Special Envoy, Strive Masiyiwa and powered by Janngo and Vaya on behalf of the African Union’s Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and in partnership with African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) with the support of leading African & international Institutions, Foundations & Corporations as well as Governments of China, Canada & France.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities of the Production & Supply Management Associate will include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Oversee mass product/content creation/update, category mapping and clean up.
• Review pending products within stipulated SLA including newly created and updated products – Ensure all products that go live are authentic & are in correct categories, good product image(s), well detailed & accurate content.
• Onsite QC/Content Management – Delisting, Content Update & Issues Resolution, etc • Sanitize Product names, categories, and attributes on PDPs and campaign pages
• Manage supplier onboarding and vetting processes.
• Manage all product and category display pages on current and future campaigns – Product Names, Filters, Categories and Images.
• Develop and manage new & existing relationships with suppliers.
• Work with procurement and buyer management team to source the right products as and when needed. • Negotiate contracts with suppliers while managing the costs and quality involved.
• Liaise with logistics team to plan and implement logistical strategy.
Qualifications:
Applicants for this position should possess the following qualifications:
● A minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain and product quality control management or relevant work in the E-Commerce industry.
● Must have excellent communication and writing skills
● Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills should be able to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
● Team player with a high level of self-motivation and ability to set and meet goals
● Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage various activities in a team setting with minimal supervision
● Proficient in MS Office applications such as MS Excel, Word and Power Point. ● Familiarity with ISO quality systems and typical standard operating procedures.pply Management Associate
